dashPORT

Project Info

Motivation

Today ports are confronted with different challenges. In addition to the rise in energy costs and increased competitive pressure, this also includes the social expectation of greater involvement in environmental protection. Furthermore, Germany's climate policy includes the generation of energy from renewable resources and the use of flexibility and savings potential in industry, commerce and the private sector. For ports this can mean that - where possible - they save energy and actively participate in the balancing energy market. This can be done, among other things, by optimizing energy loads and providing flexibility.

Solution

As an intelligent software solution, dashPORT enables energy consumers and energy consumption to be visualized, measures to be derived from them, and unusually high consumption levels to be identified and, if possible, avoided. In addition, the goal of predicting consumption is pursued based on the analysis and processing of internal and external data, so that a targeted derivation of measures and control are possible. This should make it possible to reduce energy costs and CO2 emissions in ports.

Project Goal

As an intelligent software solution, dashPORT enables energy consumers and energy consumption to be visualized. The corresponding data is automatically combined and viewed across the board. Possible measures are derived from a file-based process analysis and suggested to the users by the software. In addition, dashPORT can identify and avoid unusually high consumption. This ensures that we take a holistic view of our diverse energy consumers and can use synergies.
